Sam has been tattooing professionally for 8 years, and holds a bachelors degree in commercial
art, as well as an MFA in studio art. As a Washington transplant from Florida, he finds
inspiration from being in and around the woods, mountains, and water. He is familiar with
many styles, but is most comfortable tattooing in the neotraditional style, which is a blend of
illustration and realism. He is also well-versed in a wide variety of subject matter, and feels
most “at home” creating work related to the natural world, fantasy/sci-fi/video games, and
spiritual imagery. He is experienced in cover-up tattoos, and enjoys the challenges and rewards
from reworking something old into something new.
In addition to tattooing, painting and drawing are also a regular part of Sam’s life. In his free
time he enjoys hiking, snowboarding, gardening, gaming, and hanging out with his dog.
